MABON William Leroy “Bill”- It is with great sorrow that we announce Bill’s passing on March 30, 2018 at Eventide Home in his 92nd year. Husband of the late Margaret (2011). Loving father of Larry (Terry), Margaret Elia and Dorothy Mabon, and fondly remembered by Dominic Elia. Cherished grandfather of Alieshia Allen (Jay), Chelsey Elia, Cody Mabon, Terra Macey (Grant), Doug Shillington and great grandfather of Georgia and Grace Allen and Oliver Macey. Survived by nieces and nephews Shelley Selby (Bill), Neal Hillesheim (April), Laurie Hillesheim and Phil Cody. He will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Laura Hillesheim and cousin Marilyn Dakers-Hayward. Bill worked for many years at T.R.W. St. Catharines and owned and operated his own farm in St. Davids for more than 50 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his camping (Riverside) and travel friends. Bill was known for his kind smile, grin, generous heart and his willingness to always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Bill’s family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Tuesday, April 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 11 o’clock at St. Davids-Queenston United Church. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, as per the family’s request due to Bill’s love of animals, memorial donations to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides would be greatly appreciated.
