Life Story for Roy E. Dear

Roy E.  Dear
DEAR, Roy E. - It is with deep sadness the family announces his passing at home on Wednesday November 2, 2016 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean (2005). Loving father of Bruce (Kathleen), Barbara Kenyeres (Josh Albert), Joyce Freeman (Wayne), and Colleen Cleve. Dearest papa of Ryan, Brandon, David, Ashley, Meghan, Audrey, Melanie, Aaron, Erik and Alex. Brother of the late Walter Dear (Thelma), brother-in-law of Muriel Hall and dear friend of Joan Edwards. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roy was a Navy Veteran. Throughout his life he was active in the community as a Scout Master, and with the United Way and the Royal Canadian Naval Association. He worked at Fleet Canada Inc for 49 years, working his way from the mail room, to the accounting department, and retiring as controller of the company. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins and spending time with family and friends.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Saturday from 7- 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Roy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the United Way.
