IVES, Donald Aldous (Bucky) - On Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Greater Niagara Hospital, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Joan (Doerr) for 53 years. Loving father of David Alexander (Pauline) of Niagara Falls and Daniel Andrew (Trish) of Calgary, Alberta. Cherished grandfather of Jordana Leigh, Taylor Andrew, Ryan Scott and Courtney Dawn. Great grandfather of Ava Patricia. Devoted son of Dorothy Marion (Dot) and the late James. Dear brother of James (Leona) and William (Linda). Uncle of James (Janice) and Leanne Holowitz (Randy). Donald was president of Chippawa Car Club. He has been involved in baseball and hockey, as both player and coach. He developed a passion for woodworking and in his later years he was an avid golfer. Donald worked for 30 years at the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission, retiring in 1995. He was a volunteer Fireman in Chippawa for 30 years, a member of the King Edward VII Lodge No. 471, A.F. & A.M. and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star P.P.

Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service under the auspices of the King Edward VII Lodge No. 471, A.F. & A.M. will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m. A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Chippawa, on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Holy Trinity Church.
