It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William, on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Beloved husband of Alice for 27 years. Loving Father of David (Gail Hill), Heather Ainslie (Tom Eldridge), Margaret Ainslie, Sarah Kennedy (Gordon) and Stuart (Leigh Goring) and their mother Constance Ainslie. Dear stepfather of Stephen Cox (Tracey) and Lynne Davidson (Charles). Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Devon, Reed, Michael, Kurtis, Robert, Devon, Connor, Krista, Calvin, Chantel, Rae-Ann (Nick) and Liam. Great grandfather of Adeley Rozon. Brother of John (Hilary) and brother-in-law of Donna Ainslie. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Agnes Ainslie, twin brother Dr. Robert Ainslie and son Douglas Ainslie. William had a long standing general practice, was a surgeon and loved to serve his community in Niagara Falls.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate William’s life will be held at Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church, 6136 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls, on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church or to Niagara Health Foundation.
