Condolence: Glen, Derek, Shannon and families: There are no words that can take away the pain that you all have endured, nor the pain of loss that you will feel in the time to come. I had the pleasure of knowing you all for 31years!!! Hard to believe!! Renee was an amazing woman, who took me under her wing when I finished college and began my career at Ridley College!!! You all were her life, ringette, hockey, Glen’s bands and gigs to name a few ... She was always supportive and eager to share with me her knowledge which I am thankful for her work ethics!!! Anyone who did not have the opportunity to work with Renee during this time missed out!!! Knowing her as a friend was a blessing ... being able to share these last few years and knowing what the disease did to her is shameful!! Glen, you never have to explain to anyone why she acted like she did and feel ashamed!!! Those who made gestures and had unkind words to say about her while the disease was taking over do not deserve to know her ... funny how sayings come back to you like my grandmother used to say, “until you walk a mile in someone’s shoes ...” Know she is no longer trapped within her body and is able to spread her wings and soar!
