VOMMERO, Rosemary – Sadly we announce the passing of our dear Rosemary, surrounded by her family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday July 28, 2017 at the age of 50. Beloved daughter of Rose (Futino) and the late Emanuele Vommero. Loving sister of Tony (Venessa) and Lucy Zenga (Emilio). Adored by her nieces Emmylou and Patricia Zenga and nephew A.J. Vommero. Dear niece of Carmela Guarasci (the late Antonio), the late Joe Futino (Phyllis), Edgi Futino (Anna), Frank Futino (Frances) and Pat Futino (Franca). Also survived by many cousins. Predeceased by her grandparents Antonio and Giacomina Futino and Antonio and Rosina Vommero.
Rosemary was one of the proud owners of Sorrento Bakery where she will be remembered by many customers, especially the children who often received free cookies from her. She was a member of St. Thomas More CWL, an avid Boston Bruins fan, enjoyed bowling and her Tim Hortons Iced Capps.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Monday from 2-4 and 7 -9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. St. Thomas More Church. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Autism Ontario Niagara Chapter, an organization which has greatly helped Rosemary’s niece, would be appreciated.
