Life Story for Gerry Schneider

SCHNEIDER, Gerry - In loving memory of Gerry, who passed away in his 77th year, peacefully in his home on June 18, 2017, Four years after his beloved wife Eva Schneider. He is survived by his daughters Geraldine Biso (Harold “Butch”), Sandra Burns (John) and Wendy Schneider (Laura Sawatzky). His legacy has given him grandchildren, Danah Ashcroft, Karl Biso, Kathryn Biso and Brittany Burns and nephew Axel Jaeger. He will be missed by his long-time best friend Paul Barelli; In-laws Valerie Gignac, Georges Gignac (Yvonne), Giselle Perkins as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Jaeger, father Ernst Johann Schneider, mother Helene Mack, step-father Karl Mack, mother and father in-law Rita and Absalon Gignac, brothers-in-law Hubert “Bob” Gignac, David Gignac, sister-in-law Mary Gignac (Pete Gillespie) and best friends Gail and Butch Murray. Professionally, Gerry was an Electrician employed with Bissell’s, Provincial Crane and Washington Mills, as well as being a certified Plumber, “Jack of all Trades and Master of All”. He was a motorcycle, soccer and hockey enthusiast. He enjoyed camping and fishing, travelling, and his time with Heart Niagara. Gerry was a joker, prankster, mischievous and loved meeting and helping others. He will be greatly missed by all.
Family will receive friends at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Friday June 23rd from 10:30 – 11:30a.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society.
