NAAR, Helen Rose (nee Ruish) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Rose Naar on Thursday June 8, 2017 at the GNGH in her 82nd year. Loving wife of the late Steve Naar (2011). Beloved mother of Rick Naar, Joe Naar (Angela) and Lisa Gorham (Kevin). Cherished grandmother of Christopher Naar, Michael Gorham, Derek Naar, Ricky Naar and Jared Naar. Survived by sister-in-law Jane Ruish (Fred) and nephew Brian Ruish, who lovingly provided care in her later years. She will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Helen was lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and worked for the Niagara Parks Commission for over 40 years, she retired in 2000. Helen had a deep-rooted faith and was a highly spiritual person. She is now finally resting in peace.
Family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, on Saturday June 10, 2017 from 4-7 PM and Sunday from 1-3 PM with a celebration of life service following at 3 PM. A private family interment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens on Tuesday June 13, 2017. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
