PAONESSA, Peppino – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peppino Paonessa on Tuesday the 6th day of June, 2017 (a month shy of his 95th birthday), with his loving family by his side. Peppino is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Aurora (nee Rotella), his loving daughter Barbara (Tom) Leo, and his precious granddaughter, Joanne Leo. Peppino leaves behind his sister, Maria Mangiacasale. Peppino is predeceased by his brothers Luigi, Raffaele and Francesco Paonessa. Peppino is also predeceased by his brother-in-law Peppino Mangiacasale, and his brother-in-law Alfred Rotella and his wife Teresa. Zio Peppino will be greatly missed by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Alzheimer’s Society. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Friday June 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday June 10th at 10 am St. Ann’s Church. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
