Life Story for Luigi Elia

ELIA, Luigi – Passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Carmela Pina for 60 years. Loving father of Dominic (Nadia) and Luisa Smith (Gord). Proud nonnó of Julie, Stephanie, Alexandra, Melissa and Louis. Dear brother of Vincenzo (Concetta), Anna Maria Arcuri (Gennaro) and Santa Elia; brother-in-law of Pietro Paulo Muraca (Uliana) and Ferdinando Mario Muraca (Rosalia) and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Giuseppe Elia and his wife Maria. Thank you to the nurses on the yellow line at GNGH for their kindness and care. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at St. Thomas More Church at 12 p.m. Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to St. Thomas More Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
